Best Thing I Read All Day

Does anyone here think for a single minute that a Jewish candidate would deny the Holocaust, minimize historical and ongoing oppression against Jews, wink at existing anti-Semitism, oppose Zionism, and argue some type of moral equivalence between the Nazis and their Jewish victims simply to be a candidate suitable for all??? And would that candidate be embraced by Jews who justify their support by saying, "well, once he gets in the door..."

Good POINT!! They wouldn't deny it at all they would use that as the reason why they should be in office, since jews always bring up the horrors that we're done to them, but African americans or anyone of african descent is not allowed to bring up the horrors done to us...

GREAT POINT...

As far as I know, Obama has never once denied the history of racial injustice in the US. He may not correctly assert that racism is still alive and well be he certainly acknowledges that slavery has had a long and lasting effect on POC.

@Renee...

This is the man whose campaign is based on "race neutrality." There is nothing race neutral about this country.

What he did by repudiating Wright was basically find lack issues legitimate. You can defend him, but as far as I'm concerned if you can't stand up for your pastor (let alone (half) people) than what's the damn point?

I noticed your comments in the J&J comment section about Obama. It is refreshing to be around some Black people who have not fully become drunk with Obama's Kool aid. I intend to comment more on your blog.

@tlw

Yeah I rather enjoyed your posts at JJP...I like I know one responded to your comment that Obama repudiated Wright's comments and NOT his behaviour.

U could hear crickets chirping.

@magnificent Bastard...thanks my friend.

That should read:

My personal opinion stems from options. Do I think Obama is pie in the sky. Yep. Do I think Rev. Wright Made some valid points? Yep.

But at the end of the day i three choice for the highest office in the land. Clinton who is probably the most conniving woman I have witnessed. When she was her are unhelpful diatribes did nothing to swing to her side because she did not focus on issues. Then there is McCain...Let's just call him Bush Junior and recognize we are going to hell in a hand basket that much quicker with him at the helm. Then there is Obama. The idealist who wants a big love fest. Well, he can't do anything worse than Bush/McCain to my pocket and he's more palatable than Clinton.

For Barack the world is race neutral. He has learned very handily to live on both sides of the fence. I'm not mad at his ability to play the game. I don't think he will make any huge strides for the race once he's in office. I just think of our current choices he's the best of the bunch.

As to Rev. Wright, he should have known that went too far and the Obama was going to sever ties. Politic is a game and Wright had Obama losing points. He had to go. Loyalty to a pastor for the sake of his title is too much. Pastor loyalty is what has 90% of the black churches with Down Low, creeping, sleeping and stealing Pastors now. This is the one thing I think white folks have right. We will keep a no good Pastor for years saying that same tired "Jesus will get him" prayer, but white folks will toss them out on their ear if they go wrong. I wish more black churches would go that route...maybe then I could quit forsaking the fellowship of the "righteous".
